Ecowitt API history data

BTW, the AQI error is only in the API current data, direct read from my GW1000 is fine.

installed this version but don’t see any history? What should I be looking for?
R

As I understand it there should be new data in the log files and a file called eco something in the Web files folder.

Stuart

Hi there
so where did you download this from? I have checked ecowitt.com and net and cant find anything, (Should have gone to specsavers?) ](*,) 8O 8O

Usual place https://www.weather-display.com/files.php (it’s a link at top right saying Latest Version) first one listed is the .exe dated today.

Stuart

Figured it out. Need to turn Data Logger back on for it to work. Don’t get the 400 error now either.
R

Ah yes that’s new and yes it did update ecowittapidatahistory.txt however no actual data in it only a success message but and it’s a big but there is still a gap in my lg.txt log file for today so nothing got added to the log files. Maybe if someone else can confirm this we need to email Brian about it.

Stuart

I tried leaving WD off for about 20 min. The history file contained 4 observations 5 min apart. They were added to the log file (each obs was repeated 5 times to make it 1 per min.) Its worth noting that if the period is greater than 1 day the observations are 30 min apart.
R

I’m guessing I might have not left it long enough, only 6 minutes so I’ll try again in the morning and leave it 20 minutes and see what happens.

Stuart

There is another newer later zip file download that fixes the AQI when using the API for current data. It was working on the direct read before, but the API had some math wrong on the way to %purpleairaqi% tag. Now fixed.

Jim

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll install later. My last test forvarchive data went OK I think so that’s good.
