Downloading from datalogger not working?

Hi list,

running WD Linux 5.5g (the newest) [Davis WM-2], Suse 9.3, kernel 2.6.11.

When I start the program, a small window appears, saying it will download the archived records from the datalogger. This because I switched on the setting “Download archive data when program first starts”.

So far so good. But, it is only showing that small window. It is NOT downloading the archived data (no yellow progress bar). When I do not run WD for about an hour or so, and start it again, the small download window pops up. Saying it is doing the download. But, in the logfiles, I cannot see the archived data. In stead, the logfiles are appended with only the newest sensor data, not the archived data.

Is my assumption right that all data (whether it from realtime, or from archive) should be logged in the standard logfiles [82006lg.txt]? Am I missing something?

Example: I stopped the program for 7 minutes (between 19:25 and 19:32). These 7 minutes do not appear in the logfile, although the small download window did appear. Below a piece from logfile 82006lg.txt.

Did you or anyone else find a solution to this problem?

I now have exactly the same issue (except I’m running under XP).

I’m logging at 1 minute intervals.

In case the logger had become dislodged I powered the VP2 unit down, took out the logger, put it back in, powered back up and heard the 3 “beeps” to confirm that it was correctly installed - still the issue remains.

Is it a set up issue, or could the logger be faulty (it’s only about 4 months old)
