This wasnt working properly in 10.37S 140, so I just installed the latest zip to see if it resolved, but does not.
Recently moved from a Meteohub to a Meteobridge on RPI. My datalogged connected to a Vantage Vue console is a Weatherlink IP. Weather Display is set to connect via IP to the Meteobridge address, Port 22222. I do NOT have the box checked for either “Meteohub” or “Meteobridge in use” – that is, I am using the Meteobridge in pass-through mode to the Davis datalogger. Receiving live data works fine. What is not working is extracting data from the datalogger after WD has been shut down for some time. Instead, the history/extract screen gets stuck until I click Abort - and then it starts logging live data. The debug window shows the following as the latest example. In this example, I tried to set the “date to get logging” from 2:59 PM, exited WD, edited the logfile to just before this time. Here is the debug window. Any help appreciated:

If you tick the meteobridge box, then it uses Meteobridge’s HTTP livedataxml.cgi, which is just that – live data only. There currently isn’t a way to use that method to get past data using that method. With the pass-through method, the Meteobridge passes the LOOP2 requests through to the Davis logger, so you can pull in data starting at a specific date/time (i.e. if Weather Display was shut down for several hours, for example)
Have you tried taking the MeteoBridge out of the setup as a test. If you connect WD directly to the data logger does it pick up historic/missing data correctly?
Yes, I get the same behavior – the Davis VP History Data Extraction window appears at WD startup, and the number in the upper right corner increases but the bottom stays at 0% and does not pull the data from the logger. I need to click Abort to get WD running (and I lose the data from the last time WD was running)
Also as a test, just to make sure the data logger was ok:
I shut down WD and opened up my ancient copy of Davis WeatherLink - that downloaded the archive without any issue - using either the IP address of the Meteobridge or the IP of the logger itself. So, something is amiss in how WD is pulling the Davis logger archive data.
OK, so I managed to do some more testing… Something must be corrupt in my existing installation somewhere… On a VM, I set up a fresh install of the latest version of WD… I manually set the data logger to pull from a couple of hours back, and on startup - that extracted the history properly.
I’m not sure where to check for this issue… I dont think I have an issue re-building my WD install from scratch as long as I can bring back in my prior history… Any suggestions for this?
OK, I believe I’ve resolved this issue… There were some permission issues on some of the files in the c:\wdisplay folder… I reset permissions for the folder and re-installed from the latest installer file… The VP data extraction using pass-through to the Meteobridge worked the way its supposed to.
Scratch that. It worked once… I rebooted the PC and started WD again, and once again its stuck at 0% with the upper right counting up and not downloading data from the logger.
