Dial-up Accelerators

Just a note to beware that the Dial-up compression accelerators that are now out there being offered by ISP’s for 5 or 6 more bucks a month will see the “5day forecast” and other WD .gifs as not changing and therefore will not update them in subsequent web page viewings. Refreshing the page will have no effect. So remember to turn them off when viewing your web page. 8O

i have used one of these…and they do speed up viewing of text !information greatly, but yeah, images are not all that much faster…but I have not seen this problem before

but also the pop up to allow the connection to the accelerator each time a new windo opens (on the one I was using) is a pain
