The console firmware is currently v3.15 and a later version is available. I’m wary of attempting an update given that the data logger may be dodgy - bricking the console would be bad news.
I didn’t know this was an option. I’ll look in wd. Sorry couldn’t help. I too would be hesitant on upgrading the firmware. If it was running fine for a long time it’s unlikely anyway. Would be introducing new variables I’m afraid
Is the hour/minute/day/month/year correctly showing when WD last received data from the console?
The WD logfile requires the first 5 and last 5 minute entries of the day to correctly record the days data. However, having more that 1440 records can be a problem.
If it were me I would try a different computer. I would want to know if the problem is the computer/comm port/software or the Davis hardware.
Yes, the Davis download time is being correctly updated in wdisplay.ini file every 10 minutes or so.
Tried that too.
Then logic says the problem is your Davis console or datalogger.
Would be interesting to snoop the data stream for clues. Is WD sending a query and is the datalogger ignoring the command or just very slow at responding?
