Data problem when pulling data from VP2 datalogger

I’m once again getting bogus readings, but it seems to happen when pulling data from the datalogger or whenever try correcting it, it gets worse by appending the data to the graphs.

I had to shutdown the weather server (hibernate) and I also disconnected the VP2 console due to fogging the house this morning. I tried fiddling with it to get the data, but it just looks worse now. :frowning:

Now, this afternoon, I reconnected the VP2 console and powered on the server in which it resumed fine, and all was well. I then told WD to get data from the datalogger beginning with 7:00AM (the time I left) in which it pulled data and updated everything ok or I thought so until I saw MORE spikes in my chart in WD (pictured above).

I ran logcheck and got this:

How can I fix this, and get WD to fix the charts before this daily chart is saved later tonight? I’d like to get some input before I go running around changing data and really screwing everything up.

Is there a possibility my datalogger is bad, or is my procedure for pulling data off the console totally wrong?

Power issues are common here, and without investing in a generator or a high-dollar UPS for this server, I’d like to know how to fix these problematic readings.

Thanks for any help.

It’s a common problem.
I sometimes get it when pulling data from my WMR200.

Raner,thats not true
its not a commen problem with the Davis VP
the problems with the wmr200 hardware I have posted about

the best thing is to , to get missed data from a point in time, use
control panel, data logger setup
then there set the time/date to get the data from
then click on set
then restart WD

to edit the data
edit the logfile, i.e 22009lg.txt
then in WD go action, convert wd logfiles to data files
and then also click on recreate the last 31 days data file

Thanks for the reply.

The next time I have a power issue, I’ll give that a shot and see if it helps.

I have edited my data files, and it did remove the spikes from the graph. However, I have once again reset all my data so now I dont have a lot data to muddle through.
