My Feb. 2012 Daily report has the whole of the daily reports missing leaving only the end of month summary,
Is there any way to recover this report if so can someone please take the time to walk me through the procedure in more than three words to fix it?
What causes this? the only change made to the computer or WD setup since the Jan file which was 100% OK was to activate the restart computer function and set it to 1912hours daily to eliminate another minor problem with Windows 7.
I can confirm the same happens to me in the freshly downloaded WD version. I digged a little more into it, and found out that the function “Recreate AV data” which should normaly repair your corrupted monthly summary file containing daily averages too, actually takes the data from the previous (-1) month rather than from the one selected. This creates all the mess - the averages are from January, but links to daily charts are from February.
Brian, please correct the code.
Thank you.
Kind regards
centor
Yes confusing, but something is messed up - it seems to have decided January has only 29 days and February averages/extremes are read from January data.
Logfiles are all correct and intact so eventually should be able to resolve it.

there is a thread about this problem already, under chatter

I am not able to recreate that problem here with the latest .zip update
I think I know…its the 2nd march here
and so the recreate is working OK
ie it does not work correct on day 1
yup,just confirmed that
All comments appreciated, however I still don’t know how to recover the WEBFILE Feb2012 which is the file issing all the daily information. You will know from my original post that I am not using the latest WD version [ I always wait till all settles down and is stable ] Did anyone notice my comment on the auto reboot on a daily basis in case it might be the problem, however Brian did not comment so I guess it is not the problem.
I found the page for conversion of .inf files to data files but not inf. to web files with the name Feb2012, can what I want be in fact done? or do I lose this file and have a hole in 8 years of these files? your help would make this old person very happy!
please note that there is a separate thread started about the problem yesterday
please refer to that
you should be able to recreate the February report by going to view, averages/extremes, then recreate av/ext
then set the month to 2
click on reset
wait for it to finish
then upload the updated file to your web site
Thanks a lot Brian,
Your suggestion worked first time and I am most grateful.
