I have been trying to setup a customized web page
I have experienced problem and maybe I am going
about it incorrectly.
Any suggestions please a few brief paragraphs on ways
To setup a customized web page for WD.
do you mean a custom page where you have tags like %temp% and %baro% etc to provide the values from your weather station?
what is the problem you are having?
I am using a custom web page with tags and all works well, and also have several other pages for the other graphics from WD.
I created wxlocal.html in the same directory as the other webfiles and set it up with all the data tags that I require.
then in WD’s control panel > FTP/internet setup > custom web page tab, that function needs to be “on” so that WD knows to take the wxlocal.html and convert the data tags into values and then upload to your website.
so any information on your specific problem would be appreciated.
hi john
what is the url of your weather page?
also, note that front page likes to take control
and quite often links to images are actualy pointing to a folder on your hard drive, etc
I think it is a custom page I am after if it will give me the flexibility to make a verity of changes till I find what I’m happy with. I am still finding my way with WD what I can and can’t do.
Is it easy to explain briefly the steps to configure custom page I have not understood the steps to configure this correctly for it to work for me, I maybe missing just a small bit of the puzzle.
This is not the custom method, which you refer but I have experimented modifying these files to achieve a different look
data0, data2 data3 the page worked fine. But I found I could not add new graphs automatically using WD.
Example I found I could not get a screen shot up onto my page using the usual method of the tick box to show the screen shot.
I have defaulted my page back to where WD automatically makes my page
hi
email me your settings files (as there might be a bug i duplicae/fix)
wdisplayftp.reg, after going action, back up registry now, from the folder databackup
and wdisplay.ini from c:\windows or c:\winnt
and datahtm0.txt, datahtm2.txt and datahtm3.txt from the folder webfiles
also, though, you can add htm code to the datahtm0.txt and datahtm3.txt
and even add custom tags , if you tick, to use custom tags in the default web page, in the webfiles/web page setup
