Creating my first weather page... ever!!!!

:smiley: Evening lads,

I am a total weather rookie, and now that i have solved all my WX station problems and its been running 24/7 for the last 10 days, I really want to give the web page thing a go.

OK, here what I have… (and I am NOT any sort of PC/Internet expert!)

2 x PC’s - 1 dedicated to running WD 24/7. Connected together via Xover cable with my brand new machine which has dial up (blame Telecom we live rural) and no broadband internet axx.

My ISP will provide personal web hosting to 3MB…is this enough?

What/How/Where do I go to get advice on setup and updating the web page? How did you guys do it? Any advice for a newbie !!! :smiley: :smiley:

Well… there’s very very long answers to your question but the simpliest way is:

  1. Have a web host

  2. Get your ftp address - ftp.somewhere.com

  3. Get your username and password

  4. Open up WD and input these into Setp, Control Panel, FTP Connections

  5. Follow further instructions from the help page:
