Hi,
the last three nights I had a crash of WD at the same time - 1145 pm!
I am using the last versions of WD and never hat those crashes before, and I didn`t change any settings of WD.
What could be the problem?

You have mentioned 2 times in your post
if the crash is at 11:55PM it could be related to the data backup which happens at that time
if it is 11:45PM what have got taking place at that time
is your programerrorlog giving any clues
No relevant data in the errorlog.
Today all was fine - I have to investigate that, seems to me.

I would download the beta with the error logger, let it crash, copy the log ( it gives you the option of saving to the clipboard when it crashes) paste that into an email, send it to brian with an explaination. then has a good idea of what is going down.
Check what is happening on your PC at that time - virus scan, backup, defrag, scheduled task etc.

I have had WD crash a few times in the last two weeks.
WD Watch Dog does not restart WD.
After the last crash the last entry in the log file is at 2355.
There was no data backup done since Sep. 30.
The last versions this happened with were 10.17r & 10.17u.
I have now reloaded WD v10.17r debug_2004/26/09 13:13.

There have been no changes to the PC routine except for updating WD.
Mine also crashed at around 2355 last night (version 10.17p), after running fine for about a week. There was nothing in the error log - maybe I’ll load the debug version again.
i have looked and looked, and finally found what happens at 23:55
its the data back (zip)
that is what is causing the crash
I have now turned that on myself, and I will see how it goes for me
but i have also added some error trapping, in a new 10.17w, uploading now
Mine crashed at 2355 last night (version 10.18c), after running fine for about 6 days. There was nothing in
the error log - I have loaded the debug version 10.17y. (Never found WD v10.17w (debug).)
Also no data backups for Oct. 2004 in the data backup folder after the Oct. 17, 23:55 crash.

Mine was crashing at 3:59 / 4:00 with no error logged, I changed the data backup time to 22:00 at mine crashed at 22:55 so it is the databack up, although mine has been ok for the last 3 days. Now running Ver 18d.
I have found that the databack is not uploading to the specified Dir, anybody else noticed this?
