consolewd for pi loosing connection

oh
thats a big clue
that it carries on running…but no more data arrives from the com port…
now I know more where to look in the code

Hows 10.5b holding up?

This far it runs OK. But I’d like to have some more days on it before I feel safe.

My station: Davis WWIII, consolewd version: 10.5b.

I tired putting 10.5b on, but again after 3 retrievals, get that same error

Mine is still running with no problems.

vers 10.6 is ready, try that stuartturrell

installed 10.6, looked promising, it made it passed 3 data collects, but still errors out.

for neatness, i have disabled realtime and wunderground for now,

does it error on the change in the minute?
if you could .zip and email me your config.txt and your data files

No need Brian, I took this opportunity to buy a new larger, faster SD card so re-install everything from scratch.

Fresh install of 10.6 too and all seems to be running, though it has only been 3/4 minutes, but thats 3/4 minutes longer than before.

Once question, i am using the IP logger at the moment, is there a way from avoiding the endless lines of
“Requesting LOOP data from IP”, or is that unavoidable with weatherlinkIP?

they are just info/debug , that status about the loop

so a fresh install and no data and so no errror?
thats a shame, as I might have been able to duplicate the error here with your data/settings

I still have the other memory card intact.
If you still want them, I’ll get the files off there for you.
Which files are needed other than the config files in Linux?

After 5 days of perfect cruising 10.5 suddenly stopped today. It started again with no problems after a new sudo ./consolewd command. I have sent Brian the datafiles and settings.

@johwin61
what was the error message?
@stuartturrell

see my post above about what is needed
(i.e config.txt and data files)

I might have found something that has been causing problems
in vers 10.7
ready now

Brian,

I’m getting a similar problem…

specifically which files do you want pm’d?

I have been running 10.7 constantly without a single problem since released, not even restarted. Now approaching 2 weeks.

I did some restarts for other reasons. Here WDConsole also going strong. Thanks Brian!!

I ran a test here with my VP with 10.7 and that worked OK for a couple of days after a fix I made for a potential cause of this error

I will run another test with the 2310 station type soon…

Because of the posts above, I have built another pi and reinstalled everything.

So far, so good. Its been running OK for 18 hours…

It just did it again after running for 22 hours…
