Hello
I’m looking for a link to download the Cloud base graphic software.
This is my desire.
Thank you.
Serge
That is part of the alternative dashboard 6.95h download
Do you have the link to download it on your own?
Thank you.
You can download the alternative dashboard 6.95h here, but you will find that the cloud-base graphic is not a standalone script.
Merci pour ces informations.
Serge
WD has a cloud graphic in your webfiles directory called “cloudheight.gif”
Yes, the one that appears if you View > Weather Dials, but this doesn’t have the bells and whistles (sun, temp, wind, wind sock, etc.) of @Meerkat’s later version:
The first post above image looks like Brian’s script.

I use it here : https://beaumaris-weather.com/wxcloudtypes.php
Kindest Regards,
Tony
Basically the same script, but at least that package is self-contained
.
Merci à tous,
Celui-ci me convient parfaitement.

I was happy to learn there is a standalone script for the cloudbase feature, and I would like to place it in the menubar column of my Saratoga site. But I am having trouble getting the image to show and get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘,’ in /home/sartelleast/www/www/cloud-base.php on line 972
Line 972 is: imagestring ( $slate, $font, (integer)(36 + $z), (integer)(min(162,$y), $txtC, $color);
These are the settings in the script for the images:
# optional settings from here onwards #
################################################################################
- $pathToImages = ‘./images/cb/’; // path to the background, cloud, windsock and scale images (with trailing slash)*
- $pathToMoonImages = ‘./images/cb/moon/’; // path to the moon phase images (with trailing slash)*
The WD settings are:
// WD SETUP ONLY … The below will be overridden by Settings.php if it’s available
$clientraw = ‘./clientraw.txt’; // relative file address for WD clientraw.txt
$clientextra = ‘./clientrawextra.txt’; // relative file address for WD clientrawextra.txt
Not sure how to get the script to work, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
I notice the moon data end at 2023. . . is this updated automatically?
Ken’s script has been updated to 2030.
Nope… the Moon and season data built-in to Ranier (Bashewa) original script is in arrays, and they do indeed run out in 2023. The cloud-base.php (part of the Alternative Dashboard script 6.95h distribution) has tables that extent through 2030.
Ranier is not updating his distribution AFAIK and hasn’t for several years.
If you want the current script, download from https://saratoga-weather.org/cloud-base.php?sce=view or the Alternative Dashboard distribution.
Thank you, Ken, for providing the link to the updated script. I now have the cloud base graphic working in my menubar.
