Climatedataout files corrupted [RESOLVED]

Hi Brian,

New problem has cropped up. Seems since October 2010, the climatedataoutMMYYYY.html files are munged. #-o

Seems all formatting, CR/LF, has been stripped out of the output file causing it to be a one line file of ~15000 characters!!! #-o

See http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/391377 , Murray suggested that might be the problem I have been having with data missing using his scripts.

Build 35 is having this problem also, and it started in any file I created/re-created after October 17 2010.

check your template file
(maybe go back to the original, included with the full install files)

I just checked the files again, did a text difference to see what was different, but forgot to look at the bottom of my screen! #-o #-o

Seems the version you ship with WD is in DOS file format, the one I was using somehow got changed to MAC format! :oops: :? 8O

I set the file back to DOS format and the munging stopped! :wink: Seems a browser will put up with the “run on” text but Murray’s parser died with that format, couldn’t figure where the data started or stopped. I’m in the process of checking all the files since October 2010 to make sure none got switched to MAC format while editing the files. :oops: #-o

Thanks for the heads up on the file, that set me on the right track.
