Clientraw.txt (4)

Brian:

Since I don’t know when, WD stopped producing the clientraw.txt file. I allready tried everything. I don’t need to ftp the file, as my computer runs as a server for some time, but I suspect this began happening exactly after that change. Can you help me?

Cheers and thanks

what i would do:
go to setup, control panel, webfiles/web page
then in the real time ftp setup, make sure you have that enabled to produce and upload the clientraw.txt, but tick, no ftp needed
then in the ftp/internet setup, client/server setup, you will need to set that location for the clientraw.txt file , to be where your web files are location on the your pc for internet access

Yes, I did all that, even if under client/server setup I didn’t tick, for a first time, to set the location for the file. Then, I ticked to use the file and ticked also to set the location, even if it says not to do it if WD is connected to a weather station. The truth is nothing happends, one way or another…

under the webfiles/web page setup, real time ftp
tick, enable real time uploading
but tick no ftp needed
did you try that?

Yes, sir, I did that

and the clientraw.txt file is still not updating?
try deleting that file in your web files folder?
(and also check for any other occurences of it)

File deleted, no new file added. By the way, I don’t know if this is important or not, but I changed the webfiles folder for a new one, when I changed my computer to be a server…

now, you did say you set the location for the clientraw.txt in the client/server setup?

Yes, I mean… I ticked where it says “Use the clientraw.txt…”, I also clicked where it says “Set location for…”, tried with both, tried with the two separatly…
