Client Viewer v6.3 - Bug?

I just started playing with this SW today. I could not get the Client Viewer to pick up the weather correctly in the IP broadcast mode (I’ll play with that mode more later), but the clientraw mode works fine.

I am seeing one issue. The Client Viewer allows the user to set the scale for wind and temp graphs; i.e. max wind, min temp, and max temp. Max Wind and Min Temp settings work fine but the Max Temp no workee. Regardless of what I put in, the max temp scale on the graph remains at 120F.

ah, i see the problem

Brian:

It works different now but still not right for me. I tried to change the temperature range to 0-80F. First it changes to 0-120F. If I then close and restart the program the temp scales to -20F to +40F! rechecking the settings shows that it is still set to 0-80F.

I just tried 6.4 and still have the same issue with temp range settings not changing the graph. Also, when I exit and re-start the elevation I entered did not “stick”

well i better do some testing with oF instead of just looking at the code and saying, that will work, I am sure it will

uploading 6.5 now
should be ok

I tried lient Viewer 6.5. The temp range settings do not “stick” until I set them, exit the client viewer, then restart. Only then will the temp range settings stick.

The problem with the elevation I entered not “stickcking” still exists in 6.5

Better. Still a little strange but good enough for a freebie.

  1. When I click Units/Colour/Setup to change the temp range, on exit the new range does not appear. Rather it reverts to 0-120F. However, if I exit, then restart CV6.5, the new range I entered appears. Also, since the altitude setting is still not sticky if you go in to change the temp range and don’t remember to reset the altitude, when you exit and restart the program you find that the altitude is zero. So you go back into Units/Colour/Setup and insert the altitude and exit. Then the temp range shows 0-120F and you have to exit and restart a 2nd time. Of course these ranges are not things that one tends to change so once you’ve been through the drill and gotten it right, you are OK.

  2. Previously, at the upper left corner of the temp graph you had the 24 hour time and date and just above that, the time again in 12 hour format. In CV6.5, the 12 hour time intermittently blinks on and off. You know how the wind speed dial needles flash between red and yellow? The 12 hour time seems to go with that - 4 blinks off and one blink on!. I’m pretty sure this 12hr time was constantly on in previous versions.

i forgot about the altitude.,…
i will investigate
time…humm, nothing changed there…
