We’ve finally got round to building a wd website, and we’re doing quite well, except for getting the web cam image uploaded. In trying to sort that out we’ve now got into a state where the html file won’t update. When I press “update html file now” the html file is not updated. I even tried deleting the old one, but that didn’t help. I have had it working before, and I’ve checked the file name and the directory name.
P.S. We’re on version 10.13x
Has nobody any ideas about how to fix this? It’s driving me nuts. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Is there any button hidden somewhere that I might have switched off?
The only thing I know of that would prevent WD from updating the html files is the “Let me manage the datahtm2.txt file” and “Let me manage the datahtm0.txt file” items on the web files/page setup. Make sure they are not ticked. Having these items ticked would prevent WD from making changes to the files.

its quite a commen problem
(i am putting the solution (hopefully) here it might help others too
go to setup, ftp/internet setup, then go to custom web page setup, and turn off the switch there on the right hand side
unless you actualy have in use a wxlocal.html file with custom tags in it that you want convert to wx.html, and want that uploaded…
also, you have web cam jpg images entered for the special file conversion…
that special conversion is to convert text files, containg custom tags (as found in the file owntemplate.txt), to another text file, with those tags replaced with the data
