Can I set W-D to ignore obviously wrong readings?

Is there any setting in Weather-Display to tell it to ignore spikes in data that are obviously wrong? IOW, in the early morning hours today the temperature was in the mid-50F degree range. All of a sudden W-D shows readings around 4:00 AM of 8.4F degrees and then right back up a few minutes later to the mid 50’s again. Now, I know the weather in central Illinois is changable but that’s a little much even for here. This has happened a couple of times before and I know that I can go in and change the records but it’d be nice if the software would prevent it in the first place.

BTW, when I look at the historical data on Weather Underground it looks as if my station wasn’t sending any data to them from about 1:00 A.M. until 5:05 A.M. I don’t know what was going on then. :frowning:

I’m running a LaCrosse 2010 wireless so I assume that some kind of electrical interference caused the spike but I’m just guessing.

hi
i have had checks for sudden changes in readings from that station (due to loss of signal, interference), but its not easy,…as the wrong reading might stay like that for a number of readings…and then its hard for wd to know which is the correct reading any more…and its all the more harder from that station which gives all its data at once…every 3 minutes
but I could add the option to ignore a temperature change of more than a setting you set maybe…and then have it time out
