Beta testing is a form of quality assurance that specifically examines how users can use a product and especially whether there are any issues with the software that need to be fixed.
This mainly involves testers from the intended target group, for pwsdashboard experienced administrators of a weather website.
Basic knowledge of HTML and PHP is an absolute requirement.
With beta testing, the emphasis is on black-box testing without looking at the inner workings of the application.
The scripts are not adapted to personal wishes because as many settings as possible need to be tested.
As a first step, a version can be created that (as much as possible) resembles the current website.
But always without copying your own adjustments from the current website.
A new version also has more options than the current version.
That is why it is necessary to look for those new options after the first test version and test them extensively.
For example
For the 2412_lts version there are 4 new suppliers for the weather forecasts.
A second forecast block in the dashboard.
And those and other improved / new possibilities need to be tested extensively.
What to do with problems.
Report a problem with, if possible, a screenshot.
Do not search for a solution in the scripts yourself and make sure that the problem situation (if technically possible) remains visible so that the solution can be worked on.
Just continue testing all other possibilities.
