ran out of time now after a compiler crash where i lost some of my work
got to go , back later
That looks like Windows Media Player
i have the streaming working in wd now
and i have tried opening up the http port 80 on the router
so try:
mms://WEATHERDISPLAYM:80
agaiin
or
mms://210.54.56.79:80
Same here
hey, this should work now
as i found my lan IP address, and set that in the virtual server setting
its working now!!!
just phoned up my brother!
and he can see it!
mms://210.54.56.79:80
Got it.
yes - it also works with http://210.54.56.79:80
but it takes ages to buffer and play even on my 1MB connection!
and I have a static image actually. the time is not moving?
but a good image
Yep - got it here also. I found that you MUST put the :80 on the end. I guess it has some other default port number.
Not good weather up there Brian.
slow: might be because there is all of a sudden 5 people viewing it?
plus my upload speed is only 250k or so most of the time,to overseas ftp servers (supposed to be up to 1M ), maybe?
my brother said he could see the trees moving OK
but he lives in the same country , LOL
we have lots of upper level debri cloud from a front that went through, and an approacing trough is set to develop it all into a deepeniong depression next few days
I see the trees moving in real time.
but a good large image which is nicei can make the size anything thing i like, with a just a slider....i.,e I could make it even bigger...but then that would use a bit more bandwith
you can set the maximum number of connections…i think its set to 5 (default)…I can increase that
I see the trees moving in real time.good ah! now the wife and I better not make out behind those trees anymore I guess  #-o
Yes I too can see the trees moving in real time. The yellow information at top left is un-readable though, even in a small size screen.
Ahh yes - see the trees blowing in the wind!
must be because I am the other side of the world
long way for the image to travel
mms://210.54.56.79:80 does not display anything
http://210.54.56.79:80 does - and i did get 1 second of moving trees before it froze.
but certainly does work
The yellow information at top left is un-readable though, even in a small size screen.its becuase of the bacground
i will try not have the writing as transparent
and or shift it down to the bottom so its against the black shubbery
or you can even have a .bmp image overlaid, and then have the writing appear on that
so i can improve it
you guys keen for me to get this version uploaded and available?
Although I have no webcam yet, I will in the near future. Very expensive software - will you be able to justify it?
Very expensive software - will you be able to justify it?well, i have had a few donations towards it,and I might be able to generate a few more sales of wd becuase of it, so i think i will get it paid back OK
