Just wanted to say a big thank you to you Brian and your family. You must have a very understanding ‘other half’ to put up with all this work you do for us in what most people would regard as their leisure time. You should indeed be out partying on New Years Eve, not fixing WD!
It is very easy to forget with modern communication methods that you are literally on the other side of the world - at least from me.

watched really great fireworks display over NZ’s largest city at midnight (Auckland city is across the harbour from us).
we could even here the fireworks (20km or so away in a stright line)
