Hi Brian and everyone. I installed the most current 10.19s version tonight and the 3 hour graph no longer works. When I go into the graph setup and select the 3 hour mode, all is get is a blank graph. 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 modes work, but the 3 hour mode doesn’t. I reinstalled the first 10.19s version and the graph works again but when I retried the latest version, it shows up blank. Can anyone else check any verify that a problem exists with the latest version? I’m now using Davis Vantage Pro station and the first 10.19s version.
Nope, no errors in the log. I also tried versions L, M, N, O, and R that I have saved and
works fine with them, but when I put in the latest version S, I get a blank 3 hour graph.
I’m gonna try downloading it again now and see what happens. I’ll reply back in a few.
Strange, it’s working now but there is a minute delay before the readings show, that is if I am in any other mode and switch to the 3 hour mode in the graph menu before the first minute. I guess it’s OK but never saw that kind of delay before.
Hi,
I have almost same problem.
Last version of WD what work ok is 10.19s (file date 16.Nov)
All newest version what I try work ok first, but about 1-2 times/days all data from graps is missing.
Now I download again newest version (file date 22.nov - 9:51) and let see…
…ok, after 10min all data is missing! (I use 24hours graph)
Error log;
“ERROR: Access violation at address 00A10442 in module ‘WeatherD.exe’. Read of address 00000008 at time/date 13:31:45 22/11/04”
Earlier I try diffrent COM-port, but same results.
Station: Vantage Pro (cabled)
Os: WinXP Pro SP2 (FIN)

Something is wrong here Brian. I woke up this morning and at around 6:52AM, in the graph setup menu, I switched from 3 to the 6 hour graph and then back to 3 hour. All data dissapears from 3 hour graph. Had to wait till the next minute for data to reappear. Then I checked the error log and found these errors, which are occurring at the same time that I’m switching the graphs.

Now I just switched graph again at 7:03AM to 3 hour graph and data dissapeared but came
back at 7:04AM. Now I checked the errror log and found this additional error…
ERROR: Floating point overflow at time/date 7:03:17 AM 11/22/04
This does not happen with the first 10.19s version, only the latest version.
I see the same problem with the 3 hour graph. Normally display the 24 hour graph but changed to the 3 hour graph and it blanked out. Switched back to the 24 hour graph.
ERROR: Floating point overflow at time/date 7:41:35 AM 11/24/04
eki, you have a different error,…something else occuring there
i have not been able to duplicate the 3 hour graph errror yet, evene with a clean install
but i will use the 6 hour code and copy to be the 3 hour code
the change that i did make was to show the freezing line…but it must be causing problems on some setups and not others
Wow! What a nice surprise to come home the night before Thanksgiving and find the 3 hour graphs not only a confirmed problem, but already fixed. Thank you so much Dan for helping out. I like to use the 3 and 6 hour graphs when winds are light but also like to use the 12 and 24 too. I’m really glad it’s fixed. Brian, I hope my email to you last night with the pics and description helped out and didn’t upset you. I was the only one at the time complaining of the problem and was only trying to make it easier to find a fix for it. I’m now using the latest version and all is good for me again. Also, I am very impressed with my new Davis Vantage Pro weather station as the wind readings from the anemometer are much better than the WMR968. The wind cups are twice the size and the quick updating makes a big difference. A happy night for me. Thanks again to both of you and I give you both sunny’s for this one. I’d give myself one too for all the extra effort I put into it on and off the forum but i can’t find the button lol. Have a great Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it!
yes, there was 1 line of code missing
the davis VP is a very good station, and the VP 2 looks to be hopefully fix wireless reception issues with the first version
