10 cm temperature

I also made a pws dashboard for Hans Wildeboer (meteomook).

Now he has a Davis I think a 6470 Temperature probe to measure 10 cm height.

I have set that he has extra sensors and that he needs this extra file.
Now I get no reaction and no 10 cm temperature to see in the module test. (…/extra_mb.txt)
Then in meteobridge set that he has to upload the extra_mb.txt but nothing happens there either.

How does Hans get the 10 cm temperature to see on the pws dashboard?

(Kort bij de Mookerheide Home Weather Station (wu version))

Kind regards

Did you

  1. download the file for MB

Extra sensor (f.i. soil) files (version 2024-05-10) for some weather-programs can be downloaded here.

  1. Modify the file extra_mb.txt to contain only relevant lines?
  2. Instruct the Meteobridge to process the extra_mb.txt and upload it as f.i. ./jsondata/my_extra_sensors.txt
  3. Checked if the file arrives and if it contains the translated data?
  4. Run easyweather to set the location of the extra data file in the settings
  5. Run PWS_module_test.php and check if the extra data arrives in the weather-array. Just press in the bottom row the button on the right.

As far as I can see there is no upload arriving and there has been no setting to read the “my_extra_sensors.txt” file.

Easyweather setup

These are Hans’ settings…
Meteobridge setting (Meteobridge.jpg) (this definitely works)
Meteobrige upload (upload weather.jpg), is this correct?
FTP (hans-mb.jpg)
Settings Eayweather (Easyweathersetup.jpg),
https://hwildeboer.nl/meteomook/pws-mook/jsondata/extra_mb.txt

Text my_extra_sensors.txt:

meteobridge additional tags

|soil_tmp1|temp|[th10temp-act.1:–]|!

|soilmoist_type|text|cb|!

Question:
Maybe it is better as the user directly posts its question here?
It should be a hobby for all of us as I am not paid for this in any way.
Now it is a waste of our time.

Chapter 1: The file Meteobridge (MB) has to read.

# meteobridge extra tags
|actTime|unix|[epoch]|! # just to check if the file is recent
|soil_tmp1|temp|[th10temp-act.1:--]|! # are we sure the th10 sensor exists ?

If it is correct, store the template-file where both we and the Meteobridge can read it
https://hwildeboer.nl/meteomook/pws-mook/_my_settings/extra_mb.txt
You need the link later in the Meteobridge setup

Chapter 2: Instruct MB to upload the file
As an example a lightning upload from MB to a demo dashboard

Now use the example-image and fill in the fields as explained below:

  • MB tab “Services” → “Events” at the bottom select New
  • Select FTP-upload which is the normal way of upload, not HTTP
  • Select Event-Type periodical and click new
  • In the new event: Select 5 minutes as the temperature does not change that much
  • For Template: https://hwildeboer.nl/meteomook/pws-mook/_my_settings/extra_mb.txt
  • Path " whatever is used in other FTP uploads" to /jsondata/extra_mb.txt

If that works:
Chapter 3: Set easyweather to process that extra upload file.
But first I want to see if the upload works.

Wim

Hello Wim.

Understandable of you that normally the user reports but Hans has difficulty with this because of his disability.
That is why I try to help him with this, although it is not really easy for me either.

In any case, we are going to test this and I will come back to it Wim…

By the way, it concerns a meteobridge TL-MR3020 and I don’t know if it can handle that?

Maybe you have them already, otherwise ask for them:

  1. The meteobridge remote URL and password
  2. The userid and password of the website

Mail those to me, It is a 5 minute job if i have access.

I myself use(d multiple) MR3020 for websites.
Adding such a small upload can not be a problem.

Wim

Hello Wim.
If Hans has the login of the meteobridge etc. I will come back to your question.
In any case, thank you very much in advance.

It is very simple 1,2,3 ready

Copy and mail the URL which looks like

https://admin.meteobridge.com/8fba....0f2/cgi-bin/meteobridge.cgi

Do not forget to add the password in the mail also.

All done.
The block shows the correct temp from the MB sensor t0!1temp
Which is now 0.0 C
