Not WD bug but perhaps 1 wire annemometer bug.
Ran across the following wind tunnel test results of testing four " 1 WIRE" units in a wind tunnel.
They don’t say the manufacturer.
The attached plot extracted from the above shows very poor low wind speed response.
Not sure if the Version 3 AAG 1 wire unit have has this response or not. My gut feeling was that the unit was reading way too low in our tree sheltered environment. I run it in the 1 “magnet” mode rather than the more correct “2 magnet” mode for that reason. Before installing, I did some benchmarks at 30mph and above by hanging far out the car window-- hopefully far out of the slipstream. Using AAG software, the unit seemed to be relatively correct. Perhaps this plot explains it.
Any other info like this out there?
